CW4 Call for Staff
With River City Bowl in the books, the next great big Richmond event is obviously Civil War 4. Planning can never start too early, so we need to set up a great staff.
As a member of Staff, you will recieve:
1. A free Staff Tshirt.
2. Waived Venue Fee.
3. Free Staff Pizza on Saturday and Sunday.
4. My eternal gratitude.
There are multiple spots open for staff, and will be selected by me based on need and qualifications. The exact # of staff required will be dependent on the # of people attending, but a rough estimate is 1 person per 32 entrants for tourney teams. I would prefer that tourney staff be familiar with the game, its rules, and its top players.
Registration Team: Director: Karen Kersting.
Responsibilities include taking payments, giving receipts, and entering registrants into their proper brackets.
Operations Team: Director: Patrick Perrone
Responsible for transport, setup, and breakdown of the event. Makes sure setups are operational, correct updates are applied, wireless is operational, DLC is present and working, and the correct # of stations are available.
Stream Team: responsible for the maintenance, operation, and needs of the stream. Director and streamer are to be determined. Also this is the stream talent team.
Promotional Team: Director: Robin Palm
Responsible for making trailers, promos, and generate front page hype for the tournament. Also responsible for acquiring sponsors and vendors.
Tourney Teams: Each team is responsible for various things.
Before the tourney, members of these teams will hype up the game for Civil War on their respective forums, maintain the tourney thread, post in various regional sub forums, and solicit known players to announce their intent on attending. They will also watch streams for these games and advertise Civil War and request that the trailer be played.
During the tourney, these teams are responsible for seeding, bracket creation, calling matches, judging matches, reporting matches, and sending high interest matches to the stream
ST: Director: Robin Palm
Late Night Arcade Monitor: We will have a 24/7 arcade room open at this event. Someone needs to be in there to ensure the machines arne’t messed with, and that people aren’t sleeping.
